Promised Land Stud is run on two neighbouring landholdings, Sweetwater and Stoney Creek which lie in the Promised Land region of the Gleniffer Valley 10kms north west of Bellingen on the Mid North Coast of NSW. Totalling 630 acres of undulation sandy loam with pockets of red volcanic soil flats, rising into steep forested country adjoining the Dorrigo National Park.
The annual rainfall averages 1800mm per annum with summer and winter periods providing our highest fodder production periods. Every Autumn we extensively direct drill forage crops of rye and oats based pasture with additional herbs and clovers to fill our feed shortages in Autumn and Spring to allow us to offer genuine pasture raised and sale prepared bulls.

Promised Land cattle are genuine 100% raised and sale prepared on Pasture. We know our clients run a grass based operation, that is why we breed, present and performance record our bulls and females entirely off pasture.

The success of any cattle operation is underpinned by the quality of its breeding herd. Although we’re in the business of selling bulls, we know that bulls are the by-product of our cow herd. Our continuing focus is to constantly improve the quality of our cow herd to deliver on our objectives.
The objective of Promised Land Stud is to produce consistently high quality bulls and females from diverse genetic backgrounds. Combining our proven cow families with leading sires, Promised Land aim to produce, a structurally sound, low maintenance, highly fertile, moderate birth weight, good temperament animal with plenty of growth and quality carcass attributes entirely off pasture.
We strive to produce bulls and females that will breed on for those who purchase them, females that will calve easily, will produce a calf year-in-year-out, are easy doing and will do a good job of rearing their calves irrespective of the seasonal conditions. We endeavour our bulls to fulfill our clients’ needs and produce highly marketable and desired progeny.
